Since this annual event was launched in May 1993, almost 130,000 women have taken part – a fantastic accomplishment for everyone involved in the organisation and participation of the race.
The Ignis Women's 10K is one of the biggest and most successful women's road races in the UK, with over 12,900 entries received in 2010. Runners also use the opportunity to raise money for a large number of charities and local good causes.
At the 2010 Ignis Asset Management Woman's 10K, Kenyan Linet Masai broke the course record by 22 seconds, finishing in a time of 31.08 minutes.
The 2011 Ignis Asset Management Women's 10K will take place in May 2011 (Date to be confirmed).
