Glasgow is Scotland's largest and most cosmopolitan city, with a population of around 600,000 people.
The city is known for its friendly atmosphere, attractive architecture, numerous visitor attractions, shopping and lively nightlife. Situated on the River Clyde, it has a rich and varied history with plenty of parkland. The city boasts excellent transport links and a good public transport system including the largest railway network outside London.
Edinburgh is just 45 miles east of the city and Loch Lomond and the west coast are only a short drive away.
